Running....Red ran, not looking back she pumped her legs harder. She heard the hounds behind her and looked around frantically. She spotted a little creek up ahead and ran harder, the hounds were drawing closer. She could feel the heat of them eyes on her back. She was just short of the river when she heard a snarl to her left. Red looked and seen red eyes staring out at her through the bush. She tripped and sprawled out in the creek and quickly tried to stand but her legs gave out. She crawled as fast as she could to reach the other side, away from this nightmare. Dinner....He was a cold-calculated man, I could tell by the way he assessed things. He showed no sign emotion, not even when something went horrible wrong. He seemed to me to be a man who could could kill someone without blinking. Yes, he had lived a long time, seen a lot of things, but does that give him a right to no emotion. The man turned slowly around slowly from the window he had just been staring out of. His guest have arrived. The corner of his lips pulled upward in a smile. Lunch would be served soon. LoveI stared up into the beady eyes, there was no pupil, just never ending darkness. I reached out hesitantly but was met with much disappointment. I couldn't touch it, which met I couldn't have it. Just a piece, I just want one little piece. I whimper and drop my hand by my side. I duck my head so I am looking at the ground. So much anger and sadness, it consumes me.
